Inamo Marks 16 Years Since Launch with Soho Venue Makeover, Introduces Touch-Sensitive Tabletops Across West End Locations
Inamo is about to celebrate 16 years since its launch, and has given its Soho venue a make-over, welcoming a new era of touch-sensitive tabletops in both their West End locations; bidding a fond farewell to their iconic projection-based tables that have served over 2 million guests. The table experience at inamo continues to be unlike anywhere else in London or beyond!
Experiential tech-restaurants, inamo, have utilised table surface projections interacted with using touchpads since 2008, well before smartphones and tablets were widely used. They wished to move to fully touch-sensitive table surfaces to improve shared group interaction and upgrade their ordering and entertainment software. They’ve installed 57 new 100+ touch point 49” tables across their West End locations.
Touch your table to order your meal, engage in epic 4-player air hockey matches, show your skills on the pool table, defend against aliens in Space Invaders, & enjoy over 20 more games, including Frogs for (big & little) kids. Unleash your creativity as you draw on your tabletop, and all play together or divide the table into 4 & do your own thing.
None of this distracts from the high-quality food, with sharing dishes from across Japan, China, & Thailand. Favourites include iconic Dragon Roll sushi & a striking Sashimi Platter. Feast on Asian tapas like Szechuan Chicken, Bang Bang Cauliflower, & many more. With over 20 vegetarian & vegan dishes, and 30+ that are non-gluten containing, inamo offers something for all tastes, and the menu is as much a talking point as the technology surrounding it.

Alongside the main restaurant areas, the award-winning Games Rooms are unique private dining & bar areas. Double wall projections span 150+ inches with 150+ games on PS5, Wii & an arcade table, & 90,000 karaoke tracks to choose from - play, drink, eat, & sing!
As Jay Rayner wrote in The Observer, ‘from the interactive menu to delicious sushi, this is Asian fun at your fingertips’.
Alongside their tech-led restaurants inamo also operates 3 inamo sukoshi (meaning “little inamo”) locations in Market Halls Oxford Street, Market Halls Canary Wharf and Market Place Vauxhall. With exciting new locations already planned in 2024.
inamo sukoshi brings you knockout sushi & fusion street food, with influences from across Asia, and has been created to share some of inamo’s award-winning menu with a new audience in food hall style venues.
The brand has already been recognised with various awards, winning the Golden Chopsticks Award for Best Street Food UK in 2023, and being a finalist in Just Eat’s London’s Best Dish ’23, and in the Dish of the Year ’23 in the Street Food Championships.
So whether you’re looking for a unique & fun digital dining experience, or a relaxed food hall vibe, inamo has you and the whole family covered!
